We came to relax and get away from our everyday stresses......and we got so much more. By the time we were greeted at the door upon our first day on the island, to each additional day being greeted upon our returns from exploring the island, and to our final day leaving with new friends and the most incredible experience, Justin and John made this trip 100% better than what we were expecting. Each morning, the most delicious gourmet breakfast (can't stop thinking about that fresh berry bread pudding), and returning to our room after breakfast already made up with fresh baked cookies awaiting our arrival. After a day of hiking, boating, shopping, who wouldn't want to come back to a gorgeous home with it's own water inlet from the ocean just a few steps away calling for a peaceful ride in the Inn's canoe? This was an experience that will be talked about for a long time. We can't wait to come back. Thank you Jeremy and John for everything!

We have only stayed in 2 other bed and breakfasts in my life.I have had 2 very bad experiences with the places we have stayed until now. We stayed at the Inn on Orcas last July 2nd and 3rd. I was very impressed with the grounds, the rooms and the house in general. Most of all the friendly host was amazing, attentive and had a lot of great ideas for activities and suggested we take the canoe "Bertha" for a whirl. The food was excellent and the atmosphere elegant and quaint. As an unexpected bonus there is a July 3rd fireworks display on the dock just down the road, about 4 blocks away. Not to many people but just enough to make a good party with live music, drinks but still very family friendly. It was a very good display and lasted longer then most fireworks shows that happen on the 4th of July. We purchased a weekend for 2 gift certificate for my daughter and her new husband while we were there so they could enjoy a weekend together in a nice setting. Next time we go we will definitely take "Bertha" out on the water.

The Inn on Orcas Island is by far some of the most genuine service I've received from any other Inn or bed and breakfast. My husband and I visited for a weekend get away and really loved it. John and Jeremy do such an amazing job at making you feel so welcome and at home. The house is awesome, every part of it I absolutely loved, so much character and charm in every room. We loved the breakfasts', each morning being something new, unique, and delicious. Not to mention, prepared right there in the house kitchen and served to you in the breakfast room. In the evening Jeremy suggested we take out the canoe that they have out back. Even though it was very cold, I'm so glad we did. It was so peaceful and such a pretty sunset. The area surrounding the Inn is very quiet and relaxing. It makes even sitting out on the porch in the late afternoon or morning feel like a 'get away'. I was really excited when we discovered that they also had board games and tons of books in the downstairs living area for use of the guest. I'm a fan of both, so I thought that was really awesome. Since we did not have bikes with us and the nearest bike rental was pretty far, Jeremy offered some to us that he had there, both which were in good condition and rode well. All in all, a great place to stay for a couple that is looking to get away in a low key, peaceful and quiet area or just a place to stay while visiting the islands but wanting to steer away from tons of people and/or noise in other places like Friday Harbor.

Consider this: a boy's dream of one day owning an inn on Orcas Island comes true. As you can imagine, innkeeper Jeremy nurtures his dream with the perfection and elegance of the Inn on Orcas Island. Everything from the perfectly angular wall hangings to the epicurean breakfast (perfectly plump eggnog French toast, sausage and mushroom tart, homegrown perfectly moist blackberry cake, pineapple & pistachio in a martini glass), the innkeepers really outdo themselves. We couldn't have been treated better. Jeremy worried over every little plan of ours - confirming our restaurant reservations, our ferry time, our hiking experience, etc). Overall, if you're looking for an elegant stay (think classical music at breakfast, perfect place settings, Victorian paintings covering the walls), this is it on Orcas Island. If you want something rustic, this is not for you. Only feedback we have is to consider extending the free wireless to all the rooms.
